Environmental
Belden is dedicated to doing our part to combat climate change by lowering our direct emissions. We have taken on over 400 projects at locations across the globe to strive towards this.
2030 goal: Reduce global scope 1 and scope 2 total combined emissions by 70%
At Belden, we seek to improve energy efficiency across our businesses and to increase our local use of green energy. These efforts directly help us progress towards our GHG emissions reduction goal.
At Belden, we seek to minimize our direct environmental impacts by responsibly managing our waste and water use.
Our first goal is to minimize the amount of waste that we generate. From here, we are focused on increasing reuse and recycling of our waste. We have invested in many projects to realize this goal.
2030 goal: Divert 90% of waste from landfill for manufacturing and distribution locations.

Social
The Great Place to Work certification recognizes organizations that score highly on an employee engagement survey. This survey focuses on many areas that are relevant to employes, such as company culture, opportunities for professional development and more.
In 2025, we earned this certification in 20 countries in which we operate. We have goals around earning this certification in every country we are eligible, as well as earning high marks on specific areas of interest.
• Achieve 80% fairness score on the Great Place to Work survey.
• Achieve 80% engagement score on the Great Place to Work survey.
• Achieve Great Place to Work certification in 100% of eligible countries.

Governance
In 2020, we formalized oversight of Sustainability through our Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of Belden’s Board of Directors. Our Sustainability Steering Committee, chaired by our Senior Vice President of Legal, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, manages and oversees Belden’s global sustainability strategy and measures progress on our goals and initiatives. The Committee is formally responsible for Sustainability practices and procedures, and related risks and opportunities.
Belden is proud of the diversity of its Board of Directors. Four out of ten members are female, three out of ten identify as a person of color and one out of ten is a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
